The minister said, on Thursday, during a press conference on preparations for final exams, that the exams to assess achievements in primary education will take a new approach, but with the same goals and objectives, starting from May 12 until May 14, indicating that the subjects in which he will be examined are Arabic, history, geography, and mathematics. Belabed confirmed that the Bachelor of Arts Division has four options for the first time: theater, plastic arts, audiovisual cinema, and music.
Minister Belabed also revealed that the physical education exam will take place between May 8 and May 20.
The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, confirmed that “the topics of the official examinations for the June 2024 session will not deviate from the lessons presented in the department.”
The Minister of Education said in a national symposium on preparations for official exams, “The candidate has two subjects to choose from in each subject, with an additional half hour to enable the student to choose comfortably.”
The Minister spoke about increasing the number of centers for conducting official examinations in order to bring the centers closer to the candidates, especially in the southern regions of the country.
The number of candidates for the intermediate education certificate exams reached 818,000 students, and 862,000 candidates for the baccalaureate exams for the 2024 session.
According to the minister’s statement, the Ministry of Education has prepared 3,149 centers to conduct intermediate education certificate exams and 2,861 centers to conduct baccalaureate exams.

The Ministry of National Education decided to maintain the examination for assessing the achievements of the primary education stage, “Sankiyam,” without canceling it, but it included new amendments.
The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, stated that it was decided, after holding the national symposium on the examination to assess the achievements in the primary stage, to reduce the duration of the examination.
The Minister revealed, during a press conference, on the sidelines of his visit to the state of Chlef, that it was decided to hold the gains assessment exam on the 12th, 13th and 14th of next May.
