Tarawih prayers in 20,000 mosques and Belmahdi calls for mitigation – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryya

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youssef Belmehdi, revealed the assignment of 159 imams to supervise Algerians in the diaspora during the blessed month of Ramadan in performing Tarawih prayers, while he called for an investigation to reduce this supererogatory prayer. .

Youssef Belmehdi said in statements to the national radio regarding the assignment of imams to perform Tarawih prayers for the Algerian community abroad, that the procedures are accelerating to send 128 imams to France, 29 imams to Italy at its request, and two imams to Britain, while receiving requests to send imams to Germany and Canada.

With regard to Tarawih prayers inside the country, Belmahdi stressed that Tarawih prayers were held in 20,000 mosques, while others were not opened for this prayer due to its specificity, calling on the imams to try to reduce and avoid lengthening the Tarawih prayers, given that “a person seeks to reduce whether in the sermon or the Tarawih prayer.” He added that this prayer is supererogatory, and the worshipers love reverence and reward.

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments also called on merchants to avoid monopolizing and raising prices in the month of Ramadan, and on citizens to abide by what was stated in the Holy Qur’an and to increase charitable and solidarity actions.

On the other hand, Belmehdi talked about the production of 5,000 copies of the Qur’an Al-Baray with the narration of Warsh on the authority of Imam Nafie, which establishes the religious reference represented by the reading that Algerians read in their prayers, in the salary party and in Tarawih. The printing press will also be developed, especially with regard to jurisprudential questions, teaching prayer, the noble hadith of the Prophet, Ramadan fatwas, Maliki jurisprudence, and everything that the blind needs.

The minister talked about organizing a religious program during the holy month of Ramadan, which includes 39 axes and includes religious and Quranic activities and lessons, and a competition in the Holy Qur’an in coordination with the Ministry of Justice for inmates in prisons, in which about 8,000 prisoners are expected to participate. This competition is also organized by paramedic childhood institutions.
