Sonelgaz participates in the work of the General Assembly of the International Agency for Renewable Energies in Abu Dhabi – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Representing the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, the President and Director General of Sonelgaz, Mourad Ajal, will participate in the work of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, between January 13 and 15.

Today, Friday, the President and General Manager of Sonelgaz, Mourad Ajal, accompanied by the Algerian Ambassador to the UAE, Arif Khamissi, recorded his participation in the activities of the first day of the meeting, which witnessed the organization of many lectures and round tables that discussed various topics related to renewable energies.

The topics of the lectures centered on solutions for decentralized renewable energies for remote and isolated communities and the IRENA Youth Forum presented by the Director General of the International Agency for Renewable Energy, Mr. l’economie circulaire).

For reference, Algeria is a member of the International Agency for Renewable Energies, along with 168 members from all over the world, as it is considered a global platform working to discuss the issue of renewable and clean energies.
