Severe penalties against those involved in undermining the integrity of examinations – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia
Judicial authorities in a number of states of the country have issued rulings convicting 21 people of misdemeanor of leaking subjects and answers to baccalaureate exams using remote means of communication, and penalties ranging from 18 months to 3 years in prison and financial fines of no less than 20,000 DZD, according to data issued by the courts.
According to the procedures for immediate appearance, the Tipaza Court ruled that the candidate “AA” and her sister “An” be convicted of two and 3 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 dinars each, with the confiscation of all detainees for the misdemeanor of leaking topics or answers.
Involuntarily, the court issued rulings condemning 8 defendants to two years in prison and a 200,000 DZD fine for the misdemeanor of violating the integrity of exams by publishing and leaking baccalaureate exam topics through remote means, while placing another person under judicial control procedures.
And the Sharia Court in the state of Tebessa issued a sentence of 18 months in prison and a fine of 20,000 DZD against two people with an order to deposit them in the session after they were seized in the process of selling Bluetooth devices via social networking sites for the purpose of using them for fraud, while the Public Prosecution Office at the Djelfa Court dealt with a case related to the leaking of exam topics and answers. For the baccalaureate degree, in which the invitees (G.A.) and (Q.A.) were implicated, according to the procedures for immediate appearance, with a misdemeanour, during the baccalaureate exams, by leaking the topics and answers of the exam using remote communication means. The two defendants were convicted of a one-year prison sentence and fifty thousand Algerian dinars for both of them, with an order to place them in the penal institution.
In Khenchela Court, a misdemeanor judge sentenced a university student to one year in prison for publishing baccalaureate exam topics on social media. The so-called “M.H” is a university student who took advantage of the “IMO” website to communicate with examiners for the baccalaureate degree before publishing the topic of the Arabic literature exam (Literature and Philosophy Division) on Facebook pages.
The Mostaganem Court and the Sidi Ali Court also issued a sentence of one year in prison with a deposit against 3 people on charges of publishing and leaking topics and answers for final exams for secondary education using remote communication means. With the integrity of the examinations by attempting to leak the topics and answers of the baccalaureate exams using remote communication means in accordance with Articles 253 bis 6, 253 bis 7 and 253 bis 9 of the Penal Code, they were sentenced to imprisonment for one year and a fine of 50,000 DZD, with an order to imprison them. and confiscation of reservations.
