Seizure of 2.99 tons of expired foodstuffs – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

Since the 1st of Ramadan, the control services of the Directorate of Commerce of the Wilaya of Tougourt have managed to seize 2.99 tons of expired foodstuffs and red and white meat, with a financial value of more than 1,500,000 DZD, in the framework of combating various forms of fraud and illegal trade.

And the Director of Commerce in the state of Tougart, Mostafa Bidiaf, highlighted that “the control interests intervened 295 times, which resulted in the issuance of 72 judicial reports against violators of the commercial law and the seizure of an estimated amount of 2.99 tons of expired foodstuffs and red and white meat, with a financial value of more than one million five hundred thousand dinars.” .

And the same official added that his interests, and within the framework of the special program for this holy month, have recruited 22 teams at the level of all departments of the state, to monitor commercial activities, and to ensure the operations of supplying markets with basic materials.
