Removing obstacles in front of investors: the core of the Minister of Industry’s meeting with the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council “CREA” – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, received the head of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, Kamal Mawla, at the ministry’s headquarters.

According to what was stated in the statement, this meeting falls within the series of consultative meetings that Aoun initiated with social partners, employers, and economic operators.

The discussion centered mainly on the will of each of the two parties to enhance consultation and cooperation in order to remove the restrictions and obstacles faced by the various dealers, especially those related to the process of importing inputs and raw materials.

In the same context, Aoun revealed that a tripartite meeting will be held in the coming days, including representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade ALGEX and economic dealers to allow controlling and organizing the process of importing inputs without prejudice to national production and market stability.

The discussion also allowed for a study of the feasibility of reducing taxes on inputs, especially those imported from Asian markets, with the aim of improving the competitiveness of national companies, while the industrial real estate file formed the core of the meeting between the minister and the employers’ representative.

In the same regard, Aoun indicated the need to expedite the establishment of the National Agency for Industrial Real Estate, in order to liberate suspended investments, as he stated that the file is ready and scheduled for discussion and study in the agenda of the next Ministerial Council.

The agenda of this meeting included the need to set priorities in the field of investments and direct them towards strategic sectors with high added value as a substitute for imports, as well as the benefit of establishing non-tariff barriers on imports, with the aim of controlling the market and upgrading the economic sector.

According to the same statement, the meeting concluded that all of these files will be studied and evaluated by the Listening and Follow-up Committee of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, in which the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production will participate in order to allow the exchange of information to support investors and remove the obstacles they face to enable them to contribute effectively to economic and industrial development. for the country.
