Public Works: A working meeting to discuss the program for developing and modernizing the capital – New Algiers

Today, Monday, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Lakhdar Rakhroukh, accompanied by the Governor of Algeria, Mohamed Abdel Nour Rabhi, chaired a meeting devoted to the program for the development and modernization of Algiers, during which it was agreed to establish a joint committee to follow up on the implementation of this program, according to a statement by the Ministry.

During this meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the state of Algiers, in the presence of the central frameworks of the ministry and the state, as well as the heads of general directors and general directors of companies and institutions under guardianship and the relevant bodies, the program for developing and modernizing Algiers was discussed “in accordance with the strategic vision of the President of the Republic, which stipulates launching the implementation of the listed projects and following up on their implementation.”

In his speech on the occasion, Mr. Rakhroukh provided some directives and instructions in the field of developing the road and railway network and directed transportation, appreciating, on the other hand, the efforts of the sector and supporting the interests of the state of Algiers in alleviating the traffic pressure witnessed in the capital, through the implementation of several projects that will facilitate the movement of transportation. Finally, it was agreed to establish a joint working committee to follow up on the program for the development and modernization of Algiers, headed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry and the Secretary-General of the State of Algiers, according to the statement.
