President Tebboune: “Our central cause is more in need of a united and strong Arab nation.”

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed that the Arab Summit is meeting in a difficult international circumstance, and a much more difficult regional circumstance, and stressed that our central cause is most in need today of a united and strong Arab nation.

In a speech read on his behalf by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, at the opening of the 33rd session of the Council of the League of Arab States. The President of the Republic added that this: “The severe crisis that struck the system of relations has become a living reality, throwing its secrets, remnants, and repercussions onto the entire world.”

The President of the Republic stated, “The deficit that has afflicted multilateral international action mechanisms, most notably our United Nations organization and its central body represented by the Security Council, is only an indicator of this severe crisis that continues to depend on the present and future of peace, security, and development in the world.”

Accordingly, the President of the Republic affirmed, “Since joining the Security Council, Algeria has worked with all honesty, loyalty and sincerity to enable the Palestinian issue to regain its central position as the oldest issue on the agenda of our international organization.”

The President of the Republic also stressed, saying: “In addition to the priorities dictated by the current phase of intensifying pressure to put an end to the Israeli aggression, ensuring the arrival of humanitarian aid, and stopping the forced displacement of Palestinians, we believe that the aftermath of the war on Gaza should be different and requires uniting ranks, unifying energies, and achieving the Palestinian national project represented by In the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.”

It is noteworthy that the 33rd Arab Summit is being held amid exceptional circumstances that the Arab region is going through, especially with regard to the Palestinian issue and the war on Gaza. The summit will also discuss many files.

During this summit, the leaders are scheduled to discuss various issues related to joint Arab action in all fields, most notably the Palestinian issue.
