And in President Tebboune’s message: In commemoration of the double anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers (February 24, 1956), and the nationalization of hydrocarbons (February 24, 1971), we stand on such occasions at historical national stances and events, which nourish in us the will and determination, to continue the path towards establishing the state. Strong patriotism with its history and people, and to preserve the unity of our ranks in a turbulent world, in which we are facing – at this stage – the repercussions of the fluctuations of the current regional and international conditions … and the challenges of confronting attempts to hostilely target our country.

On this same day, we recall the memory of the nationalization of hydrocarbons when the engineers, technicians, and technicians rushed to keep pace with that historic decision, to win with superior control the bet on continuing production, and those behind them efficiently and effectively raising the oil and gas production capabilities, which strengthened Algeria’s role in the oil and gas market at the level regional and international.
We are certain that the highly qualified human resources in this vital sector will make a breakthrough in the path of transformation towards new energies. In addition to the advantage that oil and gas give our country in the pyramid of energy sources, it has enormous potential in the field of solar energy and a wide electrical network. And national and international infrastructure for the transport of natural gas, and an industrial fabric, especially that related to the production of ammonia and hydrogen, and in this regard, we are working, as we emphasized on the (51st) anniversary of the nationalization of hydrocarbons last year, to develop a national strategy for the development of hydrogen, including green hydrogen, in order to empower our country From full integration into the global dynamics associated with the energy and environmental transition..
