President Tebboune offers his condolences to the family of thinker Abdelmalek Mortada – Al-Hiwar Algerian newspaper

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, condoled the family of the late thinker Abdelmalek Mortada following his death today, Friday, at the age of 88.

President Tebboune posted a condolence message through his official account, which said: “Dr. Abdelmalek Mortad, one of the pillars of the Arabic language in Algeria and an educator of generations, has passed away next to his Lord on this blessed Friday.”

He added: “The man is gone, but the trace remains. My deep condolences to the family of the deceased, and may he inspire them with patience and solace.” We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return”.

It is noteworthy that Abdel Malek Mortad is a university professor, a great critic, a writer, a storyteller, and an Algerian novelist. He is considered a reference in literary and critical studies in our time. He is a corresponding member of the Arabic Language Academy in Damascus, and was a member of the judging committee for the Prince of Poets Competition in Abu Dhabi. He won the Sultan Al Owais Cultural Award. May the God have mercy on him and placed him into his havens .
