President Tebboune is having a phone call with his Italian counterpart – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held today, Tuesday, a phone call with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, during which they touched on bilateral relations and issues of common concern, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.

And the statement read: “Today, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, made a phone call with Mr. Sergio Mattarella, President of the friendly Italian Republic, who offered him and the Algerian people his congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.”

The two presidents discussed “the upcoming meeting of the ninth edition of the Mediterranean High-level Dialogue Forum, where the President accepted the invitation of his Italian counterpart to participate in the next edition,” the statement added.

On the same occasion, the two sides touched on bilateral relations, expressing their “satisfaction with the pace of bilateral cooperation achieved,” as they emphasized “enhancing the full compatibility and deep-rooted friendship that unites the two friendly countries.”

The two presidents also reviewed “regional and international files of common interest that are in the interest and stability of the region,” according to the same source.
