The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, supervised, on Tuesday evening, in Algiers, the opening of the first night scientific forum within the forums of the Faculty of Media and Communication Sciences of the University of Algiers 3.

This step is an embodiment of the ministry’s strategy to extend the timing of pedagogical and research activities until 22:00 at night, as the minister affirmed, by the way, that the country’s higher authorities are counting on the university to “form the elite to raise the quality of education,” especially in light of “the importance attached by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune called on the university to be a locomotive for Algerian society and a torch that illuminates the path and landmarks of the new Algeria.

He added that the goal of extending study hours is “to make the Algerian university a lively space that operates until the late hours of the evening, which opens the way for different categories of students to study at night, such as the workers category,” and also provides the opportunity for university students “to benefit from the accompaniment of the university’s various interests in the field of entrepreneurship.” And innovation, as well as reading or other activities,” he said, noting in this context that “university transportation lines will be activated in the coming period.”

Regarding honoring the students who received intensive and quality training in the English language, thanks to which they obtained an international certificate at the “B2” level, the Minister adds: “These students opened a window for themselves on the world and on other cultures and sciences, which is equivalent to an additional level of knowledge,” pointing out that in doing so they “They balance international competencies in the field of media and communication.”

The same official also highlighted that the Algerian university seeks to “form citizen university graduates who know and respect the laws, abide by their duties and know their rights, be creative and innovative in their fields, and master communication by mastering foreign languages ​​and media and communication technologies in order to keep pace with local and international developments.”

During his visit to the various pedagogical facilities of the College of Media and Communication Sciences, the Minister had the opportunity to attend a lesson for the groups interested in studying at night entitled “Institutional Communication in the Digital Environment.” He also supervised the launch of the competition for the best media work in the Arabic and English languages.

On the sidelines of the forum’s activities, an agreement was signed between the University of Algiers 3 and the Algerian Public Television Corporation, with the aim of “cooperating in the field of print, audio-visual and electronic journalism and enabling students of the Faculty of Information and Communication to conduct field training and opening the field of bilateral initiative in applied research on current topics of common interest.” “.
