One dead and 5 injured in a truck accident between Bejaia and Tizi Ouzou – Al-Houwar Algeria

A light-weight truck driver died today, Wednesday, after his vehicle swerved and collided with a tree on the edge of the national road linking Bejaia and Tizi Ouzou in the so-called “monorail” of the city of Laksar, 25 km west of Bejaia, according to the civil protection services.
The accident also seriously injured five people, all of them men, between the ages of 37 and 60, who were on board the truck.
Civil protection agents intervened to transfer the wounded to the multi-service clinic in the city of Lassars, according to the same source.
With this tragedy, the number of accidents recorded in the state of Bejaia within the last 24 hours rises to 7. Yesterday, Tuesday, a train accident was recorded in the city of Timzrit (35 km south-west of Bejaia), which claimed the life of one person.
The victim, a 45-year-old man of Chinese nationality, was on board a vehicle when a train to transport goods collided with him, according to the same source, who indicated that since the beginning of Ramadan, the state of Bejaia recorded 77 traffic accidents that caused the death of two people and injured 133 others.
