Officially… Bouanani joins Laureon Club
French club Lorient announced, on Wednesday, the official signing of Algerian international player Badr Bouanani (19 years old) from Nice on loan until the end of the season.
The Lorient administration welcomed Bouanani, through a statement published on the club’s website.
In it, she described the young player as a skilled dribbler with great technical potential, capable of providing decisive passes.
Bouanani commented on his transfer by saying: “I was excited about the idea of joining Lorient after the meeting that brought me together with the coach, as I was impressed by his project and the method of play that he wants to implement in order to compete to remain in the first division championship.”
He added: “Laurion deserves its place in the Elite League, and I will personally work for the team to achieve this goal.”

Player priority
The French club North is the appropriate destination for the Algerian at the present time, and this is in order to restore the competitive format after he found great difficulties in imposing himself within the starting lineup of Nice this season.
In the first stage of the season, Bouanani was limited to participating in seven matches in the French League competition, of which only one was with the starting lineup.
This absence affected the desert warrior’s confidence and physical fitness, and also caused national coach Djamel Belmadi to drop his name from the final list of the Greens in the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast 2023.
Llorion wants to compensate for the departure of its French star
Lorient Club, bottom of the French League standings with 13 points after 19 rounds, lost the services of one of its best players recently.
The matter concerns French playmaker Romain Vivre, after the English Bournemouth administration terminated his loan contract with the French club.
Llorion sought to find a suitable replacement for its top scorer in the first leg (5 goals) during the winter transfer period, in order to compensate for the void that it will leave in the front line.
Bouanani has the technical capabilities that qualify him to fill this role, especially since the pressure in a team the size of Lorient is different from what he experienced in Nice, which ranked second in the general table of the “Ligue 1” competition.
