In a large-scale police operation carried out by the security services of the state of Algiers, it included 13 administrative district security forces on the 13th and 14th of May 2024, during which (825) people were monitored and (347) suspects were transferred.
In various cases related to: possession Drugs And psychotropic substances (139) drug cases, (17) cases of carrying prohibited bladed weapons, cases related to: disrupting public order, trafficking and promoting drugs of various types, seventy (37) people, including those under investigation by the judicial authorities, while (568) vehicles were monitored. And (399) motorcycles, (153) violations were issued and (44) of them were placed in the checkpoint. During these operations, the following were seized and impounded:
(748) – tablet Psychotropic substances of various types.
(500) – grams of marijuana.
(08) – Fireworks.
(18)- Prohibited white weapons of various types and sizes.
