The spokesman pointed out that “the group of customs experts and specialists who were appointed to conduct a comprehensive study and reformulate the new customs law, is in line with the new economic trends of the state, and includes many measures and procedures aimed at improving care for economic customers and enhancing the protection of the national economy.”
Regarding the results achieved and the status of the trade balance, Guest Al-Sabah confirmed that “since 2020, the trade balance has become positive after exports greatly exceeded imports,” adding that “all state interests are working to make exports outside of fuel exceed imports.”
