The circular specified the foundations on which the timing changes are based and the organizational arrangements for the practical implementation of the amendments introduced to the timing network, as well as the arrangements related to information and training about the new network of timings for the primary education stage.

The same source added that the amendment to the network of timings for the primary education stage is based on the following principles: “Unifying the size of the academic time in the one-shift system and the two-shift system, and unification helps in achieving better coordination between the schedules of the different classes and reduces the time dispersion that can negatively affect the student’s concentration.” “.

Standardizing entry and exit times, creating time spaces that allow children to practice various cultural and sporting activities, to enhance student health and contribute to the development of their social and mental skills.

Integrating remedial sessions into the learning process, to help students who need additional support receive it more consistently within the regular classroom setting.

As well as introducing flexibility into the pedagogical organization by adopting one-hour, 30-minute, and 45-minute learning sessions depending on the nature of the pedagogical materials and activities.

Mathematics classes are taught in three 1-hour classes and three 30-minute classes, alternating the teaching of mathematics and education classes day by day, and adjusting the duration of the learning session to range between 1 hour, 45 minutes, and 30 minutes, according to the same circular.

This amendment is scheduled to be implemented in the primary education timing network starting from the 2023/2024 academic year.

This step reflects strategic thinking in improving the quality of education and ensuring that children receive basic education in the best possible way. Organizing school time better can contribute significantly to achieving this goal, and lay strong foundations for their educational and professional future.
