Minister of Communication Mohamed Laqab receives the Saudi ambassador to Algeria – Algerian Dialogue

Minister of Communication Muhammad Laqab received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Algeria, Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al-Busiri.

A statement from the ministry said, on Thursday, that the Saudi ambassador’s visit came to congratulate Dr. Muhammad Laqab on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Communications.

The meeting touched on ways to further strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Algeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially with regard to the media aspect.

In this context, the two parties agreed on the necessity of raising bilateral relations to the level of brotherly and friendly relations between the leadership of the two countries, as well as the level of political and economic relations.

By the way, the Saudi ambassador renewed his congratulations to Algeria on the occasion of its election as a non-permanent member of the Security Council, and conveyed his thanks to Algeria on the occasion of its support for Saudi Arabia in its candidacy to host Expo 2030 during the elections scheduled to be held next November.

For his part, the Minister of Communication congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the Arab-African Summit in November 2023, wishing it success in serving the African and Arab peoples, and expressing Algeria’s readiness to contribute to the success of this summit from the media aspect.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Algeria also expressed his satisfaction with the level of permanent and joint coordination between Algeria and Saudi Arabia in all fields, which reflects the quality and strength of bilateral relations between the two countries.
