oussama

The freeze on the project to complete a used water filtration station for the municipality of Batna has been lifted, as revealed today, Thursday, by the governor of the state, Muhammad bin Malek.
An amount estimated at 5 billion dirhams has been allocated for this important project, which has been frozen since 2016, and the operation is included, as Mr. Ben Malek explained, within the framework of the efforts made by the state to take care of citizens’ concerns, especially related to connection to the drinking water and sanitation networks.
The same official confirmed that the project, which has been a demand of the city of Batna, is of great importance in terms of protecting the environment and the ocean and combating waterborne diseases.
This is the second station that the municipality of Batna has benefited from, after the one completed in 1975 with a capacity to filter water for about 200,000 residents, and for years it has not – according to specialists – been compatible with the population growth witnessed by the state capital.
