In a congratulatory message published on the website of the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Shangriha wrote, “On the occasion of our dear country, like the countries of the entire Islamic nation, celebrating Eid al-Fitr for the year 1445 AH, I would like to address all the officers, non-commissioned officers, non-commissioned men, and civilian employees of the army.” The People’s Patriotic Council, and through them to their honorable families and kindred ones, extend my sincere congratulations and sincere blessings, hoping that God Almighty will return this blessed religious occasion to us all with goodness, right and blessings, and to our homeland with more motives for development and prosperity within the confines of security and stability.”

The Army Chief of Staff continued: “Our proud people performed the ritual of fasting this year in good conditions, characterized by a high spiritual and faith atmosphere, which reflected the great efforts made by the regular corps, led by the People’s National Army, in order to provide the appropriate conditions for our citizens to perform this obligation in the best possible way.” “It shall be on the level of the entire national territory.”

In this context, the inspection visits we made to the various components of the People’s National Army, during the holy month of Ramadan, to inspect the professional and living conditions of our employees, allowed us to determine the extent of the great efforts made by the personnel and employees of the People’s National Army, with all their categories and levels of responsibilities, at the level of performance. The noble constitutional tasks entrusted to them, most important of which is the strict implementation of all established measures in the field of preserving the security, stability and sovereignty of the nation, in the face of all threats and risks resulting from the unstable geopolitical and security conditions in our regional space.”

He added: “On this occasion, I cannot fail to urge you to continue these persistent efforts, especially with regard to commitment to the combat preparation and training programs established, in accordance with the annual directive for combat preparation in force, with the aim of strengthening the strength and resilience of the People’s National Army with all its components, in accordance with the visionary approach that we adopted in “The past few years, especially in the field of continuing to combat the abhorrent phenomenon of terrorism and organized crime in all its forms.”
