Launching the online car voucher in 2024 – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

An official at the General Directorate of Taxes announced, today, Sunday in Algiers, the launch of the car voucher via the Internet, starting in 2024, with the aim of modernizing the directorate’s services and facilitating tax procedures.
The Central Director of the General Directorate of Taxes, Suhaila Soilamas, stated, on the sidelines of the annual symposium on tires for tax administration, that “the formulation of the car voucher project via the Internet has been completed in terms of development, and the legal aspect that will be included in the Finance Law remains.”
According to the official, this project, which falls within the framework of the digitization and modernization of tax services, is in the phase of integrating information related to the national park of cars, whose cards are managed by the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning.
The central director explained that the integration of this card into the digital platform of the General Directorate of Taxes will allow the tax administration to calculate the tax related to the voucher according to the engine of the vehicle.
The aim of launching the car coupon via the Internet soon is to “allow the citizen to pay the price of this tax in the best conditions and avoid queues at the level of tax administration bodies and post offices.”
The official added that this service will also enable the General Directorate of Taxes to avoid the “considerable” costs of running it through its digitization and ensuring a quality service for the citizen.
