Lamamra: I am sure that Ahmed Ataf will raise the flag of Algeria high – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The former foreign minister, Ramtane Lamamra, said during the ceremony of handing over and receiving assignments with Ahmed Ataf, that he is certain that the new minister, alongside the President of the Republic, will contribute to making Algeria an audible voice, affecting the course of the nation, and contributing to making the history of the country and humanity, as he stressed. The new minister will raise the Algerian flag high, because of his expertise and experience.
At the outset, Lamamra raised his pride and gratitude to the President of the Republic for providing him with this opportunity to return to the helm of Algerian diplomacy on July 7, 2021.
Proudly registering that he benefited from the support of the President and his work at his side, stressing that he did his utmost, as a representative of Algerian diplomacy, to help the President of the Republic implement his program with regard to the aspect aimed at strengthening national sovereignty. Making diplomacy an effective tool in contributing to directing and encouraging international cooperation for the sake of development in the service of the country, according to the plans drawn up by the Algerian government.
Lamamra indicated that he knows the new minister very well, as they had previously spent a significant part of their careers together. Where they worked with each other, especially during the last two decades of the last century, and the sensitivity that characterized it in relation to our contemporary history. As for employing national diplomacy to serve national independence, and to preserve sovereignty and the sanctity of national territory.
Pointing out that during that period, the Algerian diplomacy carried out tremendous actions in support of the Palestinian cause and the just cause of the Sahrawi people. Lamamra continued, that he and the new minister contributed to the development of a professional view of Algerian diplomacy, and were interested in training and issuing an Algerian magazine for diplomatic relations, engaging in all works aimed at modernizing Algerian diplomacy.
Lamamra gave a greeting to everyone who contributed to this constructive work, which has continued to this day.
