A statement from the Civil Protection Services explained that “10,107 agents will guard 456 beaches allowed for swimming in the states of Chlef, Bejaia, Tlemcen, Tizi Ouzou, Algeria, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, Mostaganem, Oran, Boumerdes, El Tarf, Tipaza and Ain Temouchent.”

This number includes “985 laborers, 369 divers, and 8,753 seasonal laborers.”
