In pictures.. The Prime Minister supervises the installation of Mohamed Oqab as a new Minister of Communication – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

Today, Monday, at the Government Palace, the Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdelrahman, supervised the installation of Mohamed Oqab as the new Minister of Communication.

In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, which took place in the presence of central executives in the ministry and directors of national media institutions, Mr. Laqab expressed his hope that he would live up to the level of confidence placed in him by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by appointing him at the head of the Ministry of Communication, calling on all concerned officials from the ministry. And directors of public and private institutions and journalists to “put hands in hand to advance this sensitive sector.”

After appreciating the efforts and achievements made by his predecessors at the head of the ministry, especially those related to the legislative system, similar to the organic law related to media, Mr. Luqab stressed the importance of continuing to complete this system through the ratification of the law related to audiovisual activity and the written and electronic press law. After that, to start “building the institutions framing the sector, foremost of which is the authority to control the written and electronic press, and then to install the Professional Ethics Committee.”

The minister expressed his conviction that thanks to the confidence placed in him by the President of the Republic and the support he received from the Prime Minister, as well as the components of the sector, the challenge will be lifted and the goals set will be achieved.
