The Minister of the Interior, Local Governments and Urban Development, Ibrahim Murad, supervised this evening, Sunday, the installation of Nahila Laarj as the new governor of Mughir, succeeding Issa Aissat, who was transferred to fill the same duties in the governorate of Oum El Bouaghi.
In a speech he delivered during the inauguration ceremony in the presence of the civil and military authorities, local elected officials, and various civil society activities in the state, the minister stressed that “the purpose of the change movement conducted by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the corps of governors and governors-deputized, is to give new breath to the executive bodies to ensure the embodiment of the approach economic development aimed at achieving sustainable and comprehensive development.”
In the same context, Mr. Murad called on the local authorities and civil society bodies during this ceremony, which took place in the hall of the National Specialized Institute for Vocational Training “Martyr Zaghad Muhammad,” to “engage in inclusive participatory work as a criterion for achieving sustainable development and participatory democracy in accordance with what was recommended by the President of the Republic.”
The minister also asked the new state governor to take care of citizens’ concerns and embody their demands to improve the reality of local development at the level of this young state, which is full of promising economic potential.
For his part, the new governor assured Al-Mughir that he will strive to continue the development process in line with the requirements of citizens and ensure the implementation of registered development projects, whether sectorally or within development plans across all municipalities of the state.
