In pictures.. Ataf hands over copies of President Tebboune’s initiative to ECOWAS ambassadors to resolve the crisis in Niger – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Within the framework of promoting the initiative put forward by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to ensure a political and peaceful solution to the crisis in the Republic of Niger, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Ataf, received today, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Algeria, whose country she heads. Currently, the Economic Community of West African States, as well as a group of ambassadors of member states of the same organization, included Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau.

On this occasion, Minister Ahmed Ataf handed his guests copies of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s initiative, and provided them with explanations about its most important elements, foundations and goals. He also stressed, in the same context, Algeria’s desire to work in full coordination with the Economic Community of West African States to enhance the chances of a peaceful political solution to the crisis in Niger and to exclude the dangers of resorting to the use of force, in a way that preserves peace, security and stability in Niger and the entire region.
