In pictures.. A coordination meeting of Belabed, Belmahdi and Mirabi regarding the printing of the Noble Qur’an using Braille technology – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, supervised this morning, Sunday, at the Ministry’s headquarters in El Mouradia, accompanied by the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youssef Belmehdi, and the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Yassine Marabi, a meeting that included executives from the Ministries of National Education and Religious Affairs and Endowments, and the executives directing the Diwan. National School Publications, affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, regarding the printing of the Holy Qur’an using Braille technology.

This meeting comes to follow up the progress of the process of printing the Holy Qur’an using Braille technology, in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the Council of Ministers convened on April 10, 2022, where he instructed the government to move immediately towards promoting printing with Braille technology, for the blind nationally, in the Arab world, in Africa and even internationally. And to start printing with this technology the Holy Qur’an, the hadiths of the Prophet, and the Muwatta’ of Imam Malik.

By the way, the Minister of National Education welcomed the two ministers and the attendees, pointing out that this meeting is devoted to controlling the file of printing the Holy Qur’an with a workshop narration, using Braille technology, which the National Office of School Publications is working on according to the directives of the Prime Minister to complete it within the specified deadlines.

In the same context, the minister commended the efforts made by everyone who contributed to this work, whether by the Ministry of National Education or by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments. He also gave the necessary directives to the technical committee appointed for this purpose, to set printing deadlines, and control the capabilities of the National Office of School Publications, to print the Noble Qur’an using Braille technology in the required numbers.

The Minister has instructed the members of the Technical Committee to prepare an accurate calendar in which the deadlines for implementation are set and responsibilities are specified, until the final printing of the Holy Qur’an in its entirety using Braille technology.

For his part, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Ministry of National Education for the tremendous work that it is doing through its frameworks to accomplish this work.

Finally, the Inspector General of the Ministry of National Education was tasked with daily follow-up and control of the progress of the technical committee’s work, and to inform the Minister of the daily progress of the process.
