The Minister of Health, Abd al-Haq Saihi, received yesterday, Tuesday, the Ambassador of the State of Malaysia to Algeria, Muhammad Fayzal Razali, where they discussed ways to establish a partnership that would reach “distinguished levels” between the two countries, especially in the field of health, according to what was stated today, Wednesday, in a statement of the same ministry.
During this meeting, talks took place on “the possibility of preparing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries that includes areas of common interest for the benefit of both sides,” the statement adds.
By the way, the Minister of Health expressed “Algeria’s readiness to establish a bilateral partnership in several areas, especially with regard to modern technologies, hospital management, telemedicine, training and exchange of experiences, prevention, as well as digitization, which is a key factor in the development and modernization of peoples,” according to the same source. .
On the other hand, the Malaysian ambassador expressed his hope that this meeting would be “a starting point for establishing an Algerian-Malaysian partnership that would reach distinguished levels, especially in the field of health.”
He also reviewed “the health system followed in his country, which is based on the public and private systems and relies on modern technologies such as medical robot technology in some specialties, telemedicine, as well as the digitization system.”
Finally, the two parties agreed to “continue coordination work to embody bilateral cooperation that benefits both countries,” the statement added.
