Awdash Al-Aidi, head of the National Union of Judges, confirmed to the dialogue forum today that resisting the Al-Aqsa flood is recognized in international laws and conventions and is legally called “self-defense.”
In his intervention, Awdash Al-Aidi pointed out that “the whole world is living an unparalleled human tragedy, the victim of which is always the Palestinian Arab, whose only sin is that he resists… And back in the old days, a group of the heroes of this people carried out the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.”
In this regard, he explained that “resisting the Al-Aqsa Flood is recognized in international laws and conventions and is legally called “self-defense.”
He added: “According to the Geneva Conventions, the occupier is obligated to protect civilians and not target medical personnel…” What can be said is that we are facing an enemy that has evaded all obligations recognized by international law and has escaped punishment.”
In this context, Al-Aidi pointed out that the occupation was unable to confront the fighters and began targeting civilians.
He also stressed that silence in these situations is complicity and betrayal.
Regarding the importance of prosecuting the Zionist entity for its crimes, he explained that “international law is in the hands of the strongest, but we must argue with them with the legal provisions that they have established.”
