Government meeting: studying projects and presentations related to several sectors

The Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdel Rahman, chaired, on Monday, a government meeting, devoted to studying draft executive decrees and listening to presentations related to several sectors, according to a statement of the Prime Minister’s interests, the full text of which is this:

“This Monday, October 30, 2023, the Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdel Rahman, chaired the government meeting, which was held at the Government Palace. During its weekly meeting, the government studied the following points:

In the field of public works:

The government studied a draft executive decree presented by the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, which includes a public benefit declaration for the process related to the completion of the Bashar-Tindouf-Ghar Jbeilat railway line.

In this regard, the draft text will allow the evacuation of the containers that will host the construction works of the first two parts of the mining railway, with a length of 375 km and a total distance of 950 km.

This concerns the section extending from Béchar to kilometer 200, at a distance of 200 km, and the Umm al-Assal-Tindouf section, at a length of 175 km.

In the field of work:

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security presented a draft executive decree that includes the establishment of the Algerian Code for Professions and Jobs in the Public and Private Economic Sector.

It should be noted that this text establishes the Algerian Code of Professions and Jobs as the only official reference for expressing needs in terms of labor, and is a necessary step for its use by all actors in the national labor market, especially with regard to the needs expressed by public and private economic institutions as well as institutions. Foreign.

In the field of the interior and local communities:

The government heard a presentation by the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development on the progress made in the process of preparing new legislative texts relating, respectively, to the municipality, the state, political parties and associations.

These draft texts fall within the framework of completing the process of implementing political and institutional reforms emanating from the commitments of the President of the Republic, especially by ensuring the consistency of the existing legal arsenal with the new constitutional provisions, with the aim of strengthening the rule of law and the full exercise of rights and freedoms, as well as promoting the role of local communities in the field of economic and social development. By consolidating governance, practicing participatory democracy, and protecting local elected officials more, as well as by ensuring the functioning of elected councils.

In the field of irrigation:

The government listened to a presentation by the Minister of Irrigation on the sector’s strategy in the field of using water from water filtration plants in agricultural irrigation and industry.

The presentation highlighted the sector’s goals aimed at enhancing the reuse of filtered water in agricultural irrigation at the level of large irrigated areas and small and medium irrigation areas, as well as at the level of the Green Dam and in the industrial sites that have been counted, especially through implementing an operational and strategic plan to complete new filtration and rehabilitation stations. And expanding filtration systems in order to increase their capabilities.

Finally, in the field of health:

The Minister of Health gave a presentation on the digitization of the health sector, which aims to improve public governance by digitizing all aspects related to the physical and human management of the health sector.

The process of digitizing the health sector is taking place gradually through the digitization of health sector management and public service, as well as through interoperability with other public administrations.

It is worth noting that the process of digitizing the health sector would achieve a qualitative leap in the governance of health structures in terms of rationalizing financial expenditures and optimal exploitation of human resources, as well as improving the quality of health services provided to the patient.
