Germany arrests 25 people who tried to plot to overthrow the government – Algerian dialogue

The German Federal Prosecutor’s Office said that security arrested today, Wednesday, 22 suspects and 3 people who are supporters of a far-right terrorist organization for planning to overthrow the government.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement that an estimated 50 people were suspected of being part of a group called the “Reich Citizens’ Movement,” which was founded in November 2021 and was planning to overthrow the government and replace it with their own regime.

The statement added: “The defendants are united by their deep rejection of state institutions and the free democratic basic system of the Federal Republic of Germany, which over time led to their decision to participate in its violent elimination and to engage in concrete preparatory measures for this purpose.”

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office stated that the raids are continuing and are directed against 27 other suspects.
