FIFA ranking: The national team ranks 44th – Algerian Dialogue
The Algerian national football team ranked 44th, falling by one place, in the new FIFA classification for national teams for the month of June, issued today, Thursday, on the official website of the international body “FIFA”.
National voter Vladimir Petkovic’s Cubs lost one place, compared to last May’s ranking (43rd place), after losing on June 6th at home, at Nelson Mandela Stadium (Baraki – Algeria), against the Guinea national team with a score of (1-2), in the match. Which is included in the third round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
On the African level, the Algerian national team settled in seventh place, ahead of the teams of Cameroon (49th place), Mali (50th place) and South Africa (59th place).
At the top of the classification, the Argentine national team, the holder of the 2022 World Cup title, maintained the top spot in the national team classification with 1,860 points, just like the French national team, which maintained its second place (1,837.47 points) and which finished as runner-up in Qatar 2022, and the Belgian national team is still in third place. B (1797 points).
On the other hand, England fell to fifth place, in favor of Brazil, which rose to fourth place, followed by Portugal in sixth place and the Netherlands in seventh place.
The top ten teams are completed by Spain in eighth place (1792.92 points), Croatia in ninth place (1782.3 points) and Italy in tenth place (1729.37 points).
