“FAF” protests to CAF after the refereeing scandal in the match between the Greens and the Horses – Algerian Dialogue
The Algerian Football Federation (FAF), on Saturday night, submitted a protest note to its African counterpart (CAF), after the arbitration scandal that marked the match between the Greens and the Horses (2-2), on Saturday evening in Bouaké, in the second round of the fourth group in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Kot. d’ivoire.
This came after the South African referee, Tom Abongile, deprived Bounedjah (12), Amoura (57) and Ounas (87) of three legitimate penalty kicks after holding the shirt in the first case, touching the ball in the second case, and obstructing Adam in the third case, amid controversy. He is aware of the role played by the Gabonese VAR referee, Pierre-Ghislain Echo, who himself was the VAR referee in the Greens’ first confrontation against the Angola Gazelles (1-1).
