Extinguishing the majority of fires and initiating a count of those affected to compensate them – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The Ministry of Interior and Local Communities announced the general situation related to the fires that broke out in a number of states of the country since Monday night.

And the ministry stated in a statement today, Tuesday, that the civil protection interests succeeded in extinguishing most of the fires by (80) percent, after mobilizing without interruption throughout last night, and strengthening field operations by land with human resources and equipment and the cooperation of capabilities between the states.

The Ministry of the Interior confirmed that these positive results were achieved thanks to the effectiveness of the air interventions through the integrated firefighting aircraft, which achieved tangible results, and reached their maximum effectiveness after the qualitative improvement of climatic conditions and the decrease in wind speed and temperature.

Extinguishing operations are currently continuing at the level of (13) hotspots of fire, distributed across 7 states, and the areas where the fires have been extinguished remain under monitoring by the recruited operational interests.

And the ministry announced the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to initiate the local authorities in the areas at the level of control of the fires, the operations of inspecting the damage, and counting the affected people, in order to proceed with the procedures for compensating them.
