Yesterday, during the work of the extraordinary session of the National Shura Council, which was devoted to taking a position regarding the presidential elections of next September 7, the Ennahdha Movement drew up its alliance and support for the candidate of the Movement for Society of Peace, Abdelali Hassani.
It was stated in a statement by the National Shura Council, a copy of which was obtained by “elhiwar us”, that “immediately after the announcement of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Organizing the pre-presidential elections, the movement’s national office initiated a number of internal political consultations with its bases as well as with various political actors in the national arena regarding this important entitlement.“.
The movement referred in the statement to “the many meetings that took place between HThe Renaissance Movement and the Movement of Society for Peace “Hamas”, which culminated in the establishment of the Declaration of Principles of Electoral Coordination, to achieve the goal of promoting political action among political actors and activating its role in the national arena, as well as restoring hope to a wide segment of Algerian society in the future and the necessity of political action.“.
The Ennahdha Movement announced “the nomination of Abdelali Hassani, head of the Movement for Society for Peace, for the September 2024 presidential elections, and the establishment of the National Elections Commission,” and in return called on all activists The activists and leaders of the movement responded positively to this decision.”
Finally, the movement sent a call to the Algerian people to participate widely, effectively and responsibly in this national entitlement and to rally around its candidate in the service of Algeria and to preserve its stability and the stability of its institutions.
