Election of Walid Sadi as new president of FAF – Algerian Dialogue

Walid Sadi, the only candidate, was elected as the new president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), to complete the remainder of the 2020-2024 Olympic term, during the General Assembly, which took place today, Thursday, at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa (Algiers).
Sadi (43 years old) received 76 votes, 5 against and 1 canceled out of 82 expressed.

Thus, Sadi succeeds former President Djahid Zvezif, who resigned from his position last July 16, following his failure to obtain the position of member of the Executive Office of the Confederation of African Football (COMEX) during the elections that took place on Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire).
Sadi, the current member of the board of directors of the ES Setif team, becomes the 16th president of the Algerian Football Federation since 1962.
