Dismantling an international network trafficking in hard drugs – New Algeria
The National Gendarmerie dismantled an international network specialized in trafficking in hard drugs, and seized 16 kg of cocaine in a camp.

After confirming that the substance was “cocaine,” the same services arrested the suspect and took him to the headquarters of the Regional Division of the National Gendarmerie in Akaz to continue the investigation.
After an in-depth investigation, completion of all legal procedures, and extension of jurisdiction to several states, the operation enabled the dismantling of an international network specialized in trafficking in hard drugs, whose activity extends across all states of the country.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 16 kilograms of hard drugs (cocaine), the arrest of 08 people, including two women, and the seizure of 04 tourist cars and one utility vehicle.
In the same operation, the gendarmes also seized a sum of money in the national currency estimated at 20 million centimes, a sixth-class white weapon, 12 mobile phones, a magnetic holder, registration cards for tourist vehicles, and approximately 500 grams of gold.
Once the investigation is completed, the suspects will be brought before the competent regional judicial authorities.
