Digitizing the exceptional registration process in the first year of primary school

The Ministry of National Education approved the digitization of the exceptional registration process for students in the first year of primary school “through its digital platform only,” starting from school entry 2023-2024, within the framework of continuing the process of digitizing procedures related to the management of students’ schooling to improve public service and simplify administrative procedures.
A statement from the Ministry explained that, “Within the framework of continuing the process of digitizing procedures related to the management of students’ schooling in order to improve public service and reduce and simplify administrative procedures, it was decided to digitize the exceptional registration process in the first year of primary school through the digital platform of the Ministry of National Education exclusively, starting from school entry 2023/2024.” .
He added that “requests for exceptional registration in the first year of primary school for children born between January 1 and March 31, 2018, will be made from September 24 until next October 4,” through “the guardians’ space on the digital floor of the Ministry of National Education through Link: https://awlyaa.education.gov.dz, or by submitting the exceptional registration request file at the school level whose director is responsible for the reservation process on the digital floor when necessary.
The Ministry’s information system will handle – adds the same source – “the processing of confirmed applications by principals of primary schools in which the average educational cohort is less than 34 students, according to the standards of age and available teaching seats.”
The period for registration and enrollment in school seats for accepted children was also set “from the 8th to the 10th of next October,” according to the statement, indicating that “every child who does not enroll during this period loses his opportunity for exceptional registration and will be compensated with the child next in line.”
The ministry’s statement concluded by emphasizing that “students who benefit from exceptional registration in the first year of primary school are not entitled to change schools during the academic season, and that any exceptional registration in the first year of primary school that takes place outside the information system for national education is considered null and void of effect.”
