Determining working hours in public institutions and administrations during the month of Ramadan – Algerian Dialogue

The General Directorate of Public Service and Administrative Reform, in a statement today, Sunday, specified the working hours applied in public institutions and administrations on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

The same source explained, “On the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan in the year 2024, the working hours applied in public institutions and administrations during this month are determined from Sunday to Thursday as follows:

As for the states of the south: Adrar, Tamanghasset, Illizi, Tindouf, Béchar, Ouargla, Ghardaia, Laghouat, Biskra, El Oued, Timimoun, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Ouled Jalal, Beni Abbas, In Salah, In Guezam, Touqurt, Djanet, Mughir and Menaa, then Working hours will be from eight in the morning until three in the afternoon.

For the rest of the other states, from 8:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon.”

The General Directorate of Public Employment explained that “we will return to normal working hours after Eid Al-Fitr.”
