Civil Protection extinguished nearly 50 fires during the past hours – Algerian Dialogue

Civil protection firefighting teams were able to extinguish 50 vegetation fires between forests and woods during the past hours in several states of the country.

According to the General Directorate of Civil Protection, 50 vegetation fires (11 forests, 16 jungles, and 18 bush) were extinguished.

The forest and agricultural firefighting agency intervened during the same period to extinguish 50 vegetation fires in each of the states of: Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Bou Arreridj, Bouira, Boumerdes, Khenchela, Jijel, Tebessa, Mila, Chlef, Tlemcen, Constantine, Guelma. , Tuqart and Al-Mughir.

The rapid intervention teams allowed the fires to be extinguished and prevented from spreading to the rest of the vegetation. With regard to the forest fire in the place called Ish El-Baz in the municipality of Bejaia, the extinguishing process is continuing, as important human and material capabilities have been harnessed by the civil protection services of the state of Bejaia, for reference and as a preventive measure. Residents living near the areas where the fire was based were evacuated to avoid casualties and material losses.

Also, 07 fires affecting vegetation were extinguished in: Bejaia, 04 Boulimat fires, forest fire, Malbo forest fire, Beni Jalil, forest fire, Souk El Monday, Harf forest, Berbacha, Tizi Ouzou-Bit-Haile forest fire, Skikda state forest fire, Beni Karbouch forest fire.
