“Children and information and communication technologies” is the focus of the opening lesson for the new school year – Algerian Dialogue

The topic “Children and Information and Communication Technologies” will be the focus of the opening lesson for the academic year (2023/2024) for students in the primary and middle education stages, while the topic “Strengthening national cohesion” is allocated to students in secondary education, according to what was included in a correspondence from the Ministry of National Education addressed to its directors. .
The correspondent explained that the opening lesson will be presented next Tuesday, which coincides with the first day of the current school season, stressing that the topic “Children and Information and Communication Technologies” has been adopted as an opening lesson for primary and middle school students, due to “the impact of these technologies on most groups of society, especially the group.” the pupils”.

She added, “The misuse of these technologies causes addiction among children and adolescents, and also negatively affects their psychological health and academic achievement.”

On the other hand, the Ministry confirmed that adopting the topic “Strengthening National Cohesion” for secondary school students aims to “sensitize students and instill in them the spirit of belonging to this country and pride in its sanctities, instill the principle of national unity and adherence to it, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among members of society.”
