Chabab Belouizdad defeats Al-Ahly of Egypt and strengthens its presence in the African Champions League – Al-Hiwar Algeria

CR Belouizdad, one of Algeria’s representatives in the African Champions League, won against its guest and defending champion, Al-Ahly of Egypt, with a score of 1-0 (first half: 0-0), on Friday evening at the July 5 Stadium in Algiers, for the fourth round of the third group of the continental competition.

The only goal in the match was scored by Nofal Khasif in stoppage time of the match (90+1 minute).

Following this result, Al-Ahly of Egypt continues to lead “temporarily” in the group (7 points), while CS Belouizdad rose to second place (6 points), awaiting the second match of the same group, where it will host Orlando Pirates of South Africa (ranked 3rd, 5th place). Saturday (17:00), Abidjan Ivorian Stadium team (4th place, 1st place).

As for Algeria’s second representative in the African League, Mouloudia Algiers, who is in second place (4 points) in the first group, will travel to the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, to meet the leaders, Al Hilal of Sudan (9 PM), on Sunday at (20:00).
