Cabinet: Algeria provides $1.2 billion to the state treasury – New Algeria

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, announced, during his presidency of the Council of Ministers meeting, that Algeria would provide $1.2 billion to the state treasury following the achieved production of durum wheat.
The Council of Ministers said in a statement: “The abundant production of wheat this season has put Algeria close to achieving complete self-sufficiency.”
In a statement, the President of the Republic ordered the Council of Ministers to set a strategic goal to expand the cultivated areas.

The Council of Ministers also included “expanding the cultivated areas in our great south to 500 thousand hectares.”
