Bounedjah is in advanced negotiations with a Saudi club
The contract that links the national team star, Baghdad Bounedjah, with the Qatari club Al-Sadd is nearing its end, as the player can leave the team starting next June 30.
And perhaps before that, according to what was confirmed by the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, after Al-Shabab club officials obtained the Algerian’s approval to join them in the current winter transfer market.
Bounedjah is the priority of the Saudi club
The representative of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, allocated his last card to sign a foreign player for Baghdad Bounedjah, according to what was reported by the aforementioned source.
If the deal fails, he will focus his attention on one of the prominent offensive names in the Saudi Roshen League.
The “Al-Lioth” management succeeded in attracting an international name that will be added to the list of stars who flock to the Saudi League over time, and it concerns the Croatian Ivan Rakitic, a professional in the Seville club.
The latter will compensate for the departure of Argentine Ever Banega, who returned to his country from Newell’s Old Boys Gate after a long professional experience that led him to play the colors of major European clubs such as Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Inter, and Seville before landing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2020.
The third largest club in the capital, Riyadh, after the two poles, Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr, is suffering from a results crisis in the current season, as it is in eleventh place in the general rankings table after 19 rounds.
During which he was satisfied with scoring 21 points after winning only five matches, losing eight others, and drawing the rest of the matches. His attacking line scored only 19 goals, while his defense line conceded 25 goals.
