Bouanani agrees to leave Nice for this club

Algerian international Badr Eddine Bouanani is close to leaving French club Nice for another club active in the French first division championship.

The young striker (19 years old) gave his approval to the officials of Lorient, bottom of the overall standings in the “Ligue 1” competition, in order to move to their ranks in the winter transfer market.

Foot Mercato reported that the Nice administration will loan Bouanani to Lorient until the end of the season, with the inclusion of a clause allowing the French northern team to buy his contract later.

Lorion is racing against time to bring in new names capable of saving it from falling to the second division championship, where it still has every chance of achieving the goal.

Lorient, which is ranked 18th in the general league table, is only four points behind the first survivor of temporary relegation, FC Metz (16 points).

For his part, Bouanani is looking for the opportunity to appear on a regular basis, which is what the Lorient team gives him, in contrast to the situation he experienced in the Nice shirt in the first leg.

The owner of five international appearances in the green colors was satisfied with playing one match in the starting lineup for Nice, during the seven matches in which he participated in the French League this season.

Which caused him to be denied the call-up of the resigned national team coach, Djamel Belmadi, to attend the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ivory Coast.

The technical director of the Greens preferred Adam Ouanas over Bouanani, especially since the former has the necessary experience in the continental tournament after having previously won the cup with the national team in the Egypt 2019 tournament.
