Boghali: The 2022-2023 parliamentary session accompanied the developments that characterize the new Algeria – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The President of the National People’s Assembly, Brahim Bougali, confirmed today, Thursday in Algiers, that the parliamentary session 2022-2023 was busy, as it was marked by the accompanying developments that characterize the new Algeria.

In a speech he delivered on the occasion of the conclusion of the regular parliamentary session 2022-2023, Mr. Boghali explained that this session was crowned with various activities, whether in terms of legislation, oversight or training, in addition to interaction with international issues, keeping pace with official diplomacy and defending Algeria’s positions in regional and international forums.

He added, “We continued to revive the legal system with the constitution in accordance with what was required by the developments and changes of the new Algeria, which is led by the President of the Republic, Mr.

In terms of numbers, the President of the Council highlighted that the session in the field of legislation witnessed the discussion and approval of 21 bills. In the field of oversight, more than 1686 written questions were deposited, 1387 of which were answered, and 629 oral questions were counted, 474 of which were answered.

The course was also strengthened – adds Mr. Bogali – by activating the role of temporary information missions, which reached 44 missions to find out the extent of progress in various sectors.

In the field of parliamentary diplomacy, he praised the deputies’ accompaniment to official diplomacy, as well as the strong presence in various parliamentary forums and bilateral relations, which was embodied in the parliament’s organization of the conferences of the “Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation” and the hosting of the international parliament conference marked by the “Call for the Coast.”

On the other hand, the President of the Council affirmed their support for the endeavor of the President of the Republic, similar to what is being done by state institutions, adding that “these institutions have confirmed that they are at the level of challenges and stakes, foremost among them is the institution of the National People’s Army, which plays its full and undiminished role.”
