Ben Taleb: Investing in digitization is necessary to improve the quality of services provided to citizens – Algerian Dialogue
Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Faisal bin Taleb, called for the need to continue investing in digitization as a strategic option to enhance efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
During his supervision of the opening of the international forum on the digital transformation of organizations and its impact on the management of resources in public health institutions, which is hosted by the Higher School of Social Security over the course of the 11th and 12th of December, Ben Taleb stressed the importance of this forum, which coincides with the sixty-fourth anniversary of the events of December 11, 1960, recalling the sacrifices of… The Algerian people, stressing the necessity of fulfilling the November message and preserving the integrity of the martyrs.
The Minister stressed that digital transformation represents a strategic direction for the Algerian state, to which the President of the Republic has given special attention, which was evident through the creation of the High Governorate for digitization and permanent follow-up according to a strategic vision, which the government is keen to implement to include all sectors and services.
The Minister also reviewed the achievements of the labor, employment and social security sector in the field of digitization, including the establishment of an integrated digital infrastructure that includes 12 data centers and a national network linking 2,157 facilities linked to social security expenditures within the framework of the contracting system with private health practitioners, which amounted to 303.44 billion Algerian dinars as of October 2024.
