Ben Brahem: It is time to develop solidarity activity – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The head of the National Observatory for Civil Society, Noureddine Ben Brahem, called on civil society associations to continue their dynamism and diversify their social activities.

“Civil society associations must continue their dynamism and work to diversify their social activities,” Ben Brahem said, upon his inspection of one of the Iftar points organized by charitable associations in the wilaya, at the end of his working visit to Ouargla.

And Ben Brahm said, “The blessed month of Ramadan witnessed a great dynamic regarding charitable and voluntary activity across all the states of the country, and it serves as a starting point for the development and promotion of this activity.”

On the same occasion, he called for diversifying the charitable and humanitarian activities of civil society associations, including contributing to the economic and entrepreneurial integration of youth.

The head of the National Observatory for Civil Society affirmed that the intense movement witnessed by the solidarity initiatives during the holy month is in line with our national and religious values, which contributed to bringing joy and happiness to the poor, needy and passers-by who fasted.

In the same context, the speaker highlighted the importance of thinking about how to develop and diversify this solidarity activity to include what society needs from other actions, especially those related to protecting young people from the scourge of drugs, which has become “a threat to mental, health and societal integrity and has begun to take on a size that constitutes a war on Algeria, which It must be addressed and the youth, who are the wealth of the nation, must be protected.”

And the head of the National Observatory for Civil Society stated that after the holy Ramadan, “the activities of the civil society forum for dialogue, citizenship and local development will be launched,” which will be a space to address citizens’ issues with local associations.

The forum will also be “an important station for developing democratic practice and listening to citizens’ concerns,” and working to transform them into programs that serve local development, according to Mr. Ben Brahm.
