Prime Minister Ayman bin Abdel Rahman revealed today, Thursday in the capital, that four million citizens have obtained decent housing.
In his speech on the occasion of the opening of the extraordinary general assembly of the Regional Housing and Shelter Company “Shelter – Africa” at the International Convention Center west of the capital, Ben Abdel Rahman highlighted that the housing sector has completed a wide-ranging program related to obtaining ownership and rent.
He added: “Algeria has been able to achieve self-sufficiency in building materials,” and in addition to reviewing the Algerian experience in the field of housing promotion and development, the Prime Minister called on our African brothers to benefit from Algeria’s experiences and expertise.
In the presence of a number of members of the government and African ministers, Ben Abdel Rahman pointed out that “obtaining housing is considered a constitutional right, which is being implemented on the ground,” pointing in another direction to “Algeria continuing its work to open air routes with various African capitals.”
He continued: “The matter requires all of us, as Africans, to come together and make more efforts to develop an African-African partnership, which is what Algeria has always sought and is seeking.”
The extraordinary general assembly is being held under the slogan “Transforming from the regional housing and shelter company – Shelter Africa – into a development bank for sustainable housing and civilizational development in Africa.”
