The Minister of Housing, Urbanism, and the City, Mohamed Tariq Belaribi, issued a number of instructions aimed at giving a new impetus and breath to housing projects in 2023, as he ordered the complete completion of the housing programs, which reached 60 percent completion rate, to schedule their distribution on the occasion of Independence Day, where the housing is scheduled to be distributed. in 7 states.
And during his supervision, yesterday evening, Tuesday, of evaluation meetings for the housing, urbanization and city sectors, Belaibi ordered the officials in the sector to restart the suspended projects before the end of May, and to start completing the non-stop programs before June 30 as a maximum according to a monthly set schedule.
The Minister also ordered the control of the deadlines for studies as well as completion by preparing books of conditions according to which these deadlines are determined, and working to control the lists of rural housing accurately, in coordination with the local authorities in order to avoid delay in preparing decisions to grant subsidies by the National Housing Bank. It was not distributed by the municipalities and re-granted to other states that recorded remarkable progress in the embodiment of this form of housing.
The minister stressed the coordination work between the various local directors of the sector in order to control the pace of housing projects in their various formats and the deadlines for the completion of projects and the time period as long as the Algerian state has provided and allocated all the financial capabilities and this is to improve the living framework of the citizen. He also ordered the preparation of detailed reports on the projects and reporting them to the Director General of Housing, while the evaluation meetings will be programmed and continued to include the rest of the country’s states according to a set schedule.
Belaribi spoke about the efforts made in 2022, which enabled the distribution of nearly 400,000 housing units during the year 2022, and he noted the great support granted by the Algerian state in the housing, urbanization and city sectors, which falls within the framework of implementing the President of the Republic’s program to deliver one million housing units during the period between 2019 and 2024. The first trio of the year 2023 was evaluated, as well as the calendar for the distribution and launch of the residential projects for the next July 5, which included 7 states, namely Skikda, Bejaia, Tipaza, Tebessa, Guelma, Constantine, and Blida.
